FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does Spendsei connect to my bank?

Not yet. Read-only bank sync is in development. When it launches it will only import transactions; Spendsei won't be able to move money. Today, Spendsei works from your receipts and the expenses you add.

Can friends claim receipt items without the app?

Yes. Share a claim link and friends open it in their browser, add their name, and pick what they ordered. Their share includes their part of tax, tip, fees, and discounts.

Does Spendsei move money?

No. Spendsei doesn't process payments or hold funds. Settle-up buttons open the payment app your friend uses, such as Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal, where you complete the payment.

Does it support multiple currencies?

Yes. Each receipt keeps its original currency, and totals convert to your base currency. Travel-aware insights help you spot foreign spending.

How do group expenses work?

Shared expenses live in the group with balances, payment requests, and settlements. Your share also counts toward your own budget, so your personal picture stays complete.

What does Spendsei Pro include?

Pro is $6.99 a month with a 7-day free trial. It adds advanced AI insights, travel intelligence, AI personalities and voices, and premium share cards. Scanning, splitting, chat, and budgets are free.
